Heather Argueta - Jamba Juice
“People have told me I could sell ice to an Eskimo.”
Jamba Juice is a happy place. It must have something to do with Manager, Heather Argueta’s sunny personality that she adds to the mix (along with the other wholesome ingredients!).
Not everyone is made of the stuff it takes to work in the food service industry, but Heather will tell you that she is 100% guest services driven and feeds off interacting with the public. People have told her she could sell ice to an Eskimo. She is effervescent with a warmness that radiates from her voice, eyes and smile – the type of personality it takes to excel in the food service industry for over 20 years.
From Starbucks to Chipotle, Heather has banked some serious time in the food and beverage industry, moving up the ranks and gaining valuable management experience. The long hours eventually started to take its toll on her personal life, and she reached a point where she decided it was time for some soul-searching.
With her family thriving and with an itch to keep her guest services skills honed, Heather applied to Jamba Juice on a whim. It had a great vibe and her gut said this was where she was supposed to be. Although she commutes from Sacramento, Heather passed on a Jamba Juice opportunity closer to home because she loves the people and community of Roseville.
Heather mainly hires local high school kids, the majority of whom are working at their first job. She instills her guest service values with them via a lot of love, rules and structure. In turn, the young employees reflect a safe, clean, enjoyable guest experience with every visit – and a solid skill set that they can take with them into their future endeavors.
Heather has also passed along these values to her children and is proud of all they’ve achieved. Isabella is getting ready to start law school, Alyssa is in her second year at American River College about to go abroad for a semester, and Ryan is doing what 9-year-old boys do.
